He was ready to come down on Bill and Hillary Clinton in his investigation of their finances. Then a panel of federal judges replaced Robert Fiske. He was the original independent council in the Whitewater investigation and an US attorney.  In his memoir “Prosecutor Defender Counselor” Fiske says,

“I was angry, frustrated and above all disappointed that I was not going to be able to carry through and finish bringing the indictments.”

Fiske claims that Kenneth Starr had no experience as a prosecutor even though he was a conservative former federal appellate judge.

After three weeks of fighting, ISIS is on the verge of taking the city of Kobani which is on the Turkish/Syrian border. Kurdish forces have been begging for support and heavier weaponry to hold the Syrian city. ISIS has shelled the town without stop. The U.S. led airstrikes.

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke to Syrian refugees in Gaziantep, a city that is on Turkey’s side of the border,

“Kobani is about to fall. We asked for three things: One, for a no-fly zone to be created. Two for a secure zone parallel to the region to be declared. And (three) for the moderate opposition in Syria and Iraq to be trained and equipped.”

Ok lip-service does not work. it is time for support from other countries

Health authorities told the family of a nurse from Madrid, Spain who came down with Ebola that their dog had to be killed. Her husband had been in quarantine and was understandably upset. According to the Associated Press,

“Madrid’s regional government obtained a court order to euthanize and incinerate their pet…available scientific knowledge suggests a risk that the mixed-breed dog could transmit the virus to humans,”

Some West Africa dogs tested positive for Ebola, but it hasn’t evolved into the infection. In the US animal experts say “there is no evidence dogs can transmit Ebola to humans.”

Former and potentially future presidential candidate Mitt Romney told Bloomberg Politics’ Mark Halperin and John Heilemann on Monday he wasn’t “planning on running again,” with “planning” being the operative word here. Romney also spoke about a masseuse who gave him a massage and a compliment at a hotel.

“And she gave me a massage. And she was Hispanic-American. And after I left to go get changed and showered and so forth, she turned to Jackson [Garrett Jackson, travel assistant] and so forth and she said, ‘Is he a dancer?’

“The legs, strong legs. They’re bird legs actually, but she thought they were strong.”

An unfortunate visual image.

There are over 100 different types of the enteral virus. The D68 type is particularly virulent. It is common among children, because their immune systems are not fully developed. Enteral is passed through touching, sneezing and coughing. One of the best ways to prevent catching this virus is to wash hands often and well. After a child catches enteral, doctors recommend fluids, rest and sometimes oxygen among other things.

According to Dr. Anne Schuchat, head of infectious diseases for the CDC,

“Parents shouldn’t worry about runny noses and sniffles, but should act quickly if a child has difficulty breathing. This can be a scary thing to hear about for parents. If your child is having difficulty breathing, you want to get medical attention.”
