The Other Bush And Son Campaign.
Former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.) and his son, George P. Bush are hitting the Texas campaign trail. George P. who wants to be Texas Land Commissioner said,
“I like to think that my race is the most important. It’s not. It’s making sure that we stop the president’s agenda in Washington, D.C., and making sure that we take the U.S. Senate. I’m doing this to reach out to young people and to Hispanics, which are two groups that as Republicans, candidly, we need to do a better job of.”
Bush (37) is an attorney and investment manager out of Fort Worth. Jeb’s wife is from Guanajuato, Mexico, and both men are fluent in Spanish which is clearly to their advantage.

Comedian/Author Russell Brand isn’t laughing when calls for a revolution to dismantle oil mega-corporations. His book “Revolution” is out this month, and in it he outlines his vision of a “revolution.” He says “ditch capitalism and save the planet or ditch the planet and save capitalism…Exxon is destroying the planet and these political figures are trying to prevent us from dismantling something that is destroying the planet.” And,
“Once you’ve seen corporations have behaved irresponsibly, revoke their charters. With Exxon you could say that we don’t need Exxon anymore.”
Writer Naomi Klein’s book “This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs The Climate” agrees, and she claims we could convert from “fossil fuels to renewable energy within 15 years.” Klein claims our version of capitalism causes “spiraling inequality.”
“It’s not going to happen in the right way if we don’t talk about the distribution of resources.”
Revolution the right way.
GOP WANTS EBOLA CZAR.
Kansas brings the best and the worst to the national scene. Sen. Jerry Moran (R-KS) was one of the first lawmakers to call for President Obama to appoint a czar to contain the Ebola outbreak. And five years ago Moran introduced a bill to end unconfirmed czar-making,
“The Obama Administration’s excessive czar appointments exemplify the ever-expanding federal bureaucracy and big government that Kansans and Americans have grown tired. The increasing use of unconfirmed government officials is irresponsible — it is time Congress stops the executive branch from abusing this flawed appointment process. I have introduced this resolution to condemn the increased use of unconfirmed government officials and heads of agencies.”
The National Rifle Association (NRA) doesn’t like President Obama’s nominee for U.S. surgeon general as the country’s top doc, so his confirmation has been blocked by Republicans since February. The reason is Vivek Murthy considers gun deaths a health issue.
Royals To World Series After 29 Years.
For the first time in three decades the Kansas City-based Royals Baseball Team is headed to the World Series. At the final moment Royals beat the Baltimore Orioles 2-1, fireworks popped and boomed across the city and car horns played reveille. The team set a post-season record-breaking straight victory.
Mike Moustakas dived face-first into the dugout suites in Game 3 on the third-base side and came up with “the baseball miraculously in his glove.” He said,
“I’ve been in there once or twice, maybe, but never anything like that. Those people helped me up the entire way, didn’t let me fall, and kind of lifted me up out of there. It was pretty awesome.”
2nd Ebola Victim In Dallas.
Amber Joy Vinson (29) has been diagnosed with Ebola after she cared for patient Thomas Eric Duncan at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. She is worsening and was flown to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. She had just flown to Ohio to plan her wedding and returned when she fell ill. The CDC wants the passengers of Frontier Airlines Flight 1143 (Cleveland-Dallas/Ft. Worth) Monday to contact them. Dr. Daniel Varga is Texas Health Resources’ chief clinical officer,
“We are looking at every element of our personal protection equipment and infection control in the hospital.”
